I want to ask a question…..

Do you believe everything that our body’s  need is provided by the earth?

If you don’t, leave a comment stating why, and if you do believe, state why?

Me personally, I believe everything we ever needed to keep us healthy and vibrant, comes from the food and environment we surround ourselves with. I feel the reason so many of us have mental and physical disabilities is do to the growing number of artificial food that is in most of our diets’. I’m not saying that is the whole reason, but I’m sure it’s one of the main ones. Reason being, many of us don’t get the right amount of nutrients. There are so many made up foods that it’s hard to really know what real food is. Like I stated in a post before this one, I thought real food was a burger with some fries and a soda, or a big slice of pizza with extra meat and extra cheese. That was my concept of food until I got older and found out the truth. This way of thinking is another reason why so many of us are unhealthy, fat, lethargic, and unmotivated; the food makes us that way.

I’m sure there are lots of people out there that are just like I was, before I started learning about health and how it can add value to your life. At the current moment, I’m diving further and further into this health world. Like I stated, before I started going to the gym. It’s been a little over a month since I started going consistently, but I can already feel a difference, even though I can’t really see one. I never understood the saying health is wealth, until my health was in jeopardy. That has changed, because now I understand all too well that health can have either an elevating inspiring affect on your life or it could have a debilitating one, the choice is yours.

I can’t begin to tell you how long I thought I could eat whatever I wanted, without consequence; thinking like that landed me in the hospital, twice.  Once for low hemoglobin and the second time because of gallbladder issues. Long story short, I didn’t care enough  about myself, let alone know much about health in order to heal myself naturally. But since these things have happened, I’ve been studying more and more about different plants and herbs. What I’ve found out makes me want to learn more and commit to a lifestyle that best serves me and my body.

At the current moment I’m reading a book by Aquiyl Aniys by the name of : Alkaline Herbal Medicine. It’s not that thick of a book, but it’s very informative. I’m hoping to take what I learn from this book and apply it in my day to day life. So far, I’ve learned that different plants have different affects on the body. Also, that herbs are more potent than regular fruits and veggies we eat everyday. In a short amount of time I’ve learned so much about plant life and how they affect the human body, and that they have been used in western medicine for more than 50 years. The only difference is, western medicine extracts the active more potent compound and concentrates it or synthetically duplicates it. What that means is: that active ingredient won’t heal or work in the body as it was intended, because the natural balance was thrown off by cell manipulation. That’s why it’s so important to eat plant foods in the why they were intending (topically or by mouth).  I’m sure this isn’t the first time you’ve heard this, but protein is a myth. As long as you eat a balanced diet and get in your aminos from your vegetables, you will be fine, matter of fact you will be better than fine. But if you choose to continue to eat animal products, that’s completely up to you. I’m in no way shaming you in to going plant based. I rather you make either choice because that’s what you choose, not because someone guilted you into it. If that ever becomes the reason, the choice you made will only be temporary. That’s why you do your own research and determine if this life style is one you would want.

P.S. If you want to start living a healthier more vibrant life, research some herbs you think will help bring you to your optimum self. You don’t have to eliminate anything right away, just focus on adding better quality foods to your diet. Some I’ve started with are Irish Moss and Bladderwrack. If you would like more information on these two herbs, leave a comment stating so. The other thing is please, please please, do your research. Herbs are not something you want to overdose on, so I suggest you find out the recommended dosage before taking them. Although western medicine is way more unstable and dangerous, you still want to make sure to take the right amounts of any herb.

If you would like to embark on this journey with me and find great sources of the products I listed above, checkout the links I have below.

Irish Moss

Bladderwrack

I would also like to let you know, this two things are very potent. So that means they are not going to taste that good, let alone smell that good. The Irish Moss smells like the sea and the Bladderwrack…. I’m not exactly sure what that smells like, but it’s not pleasant.
