Have you ever gone through a time in your life when you feel unmotivated? That’s me right now, I just don’t have the drive to want to do anything. I’m trying to find that drive again, but it’s hard. These days all I find myself wanting to do is watch TV and I think that’s because I have nothing to look forward too. Before I could count on new ideas for different books I wanted to write. Now I can’t see past the place that I’m in. I want so bad to be successful, but I can’t seem to get the drive or ambition that comes with the road to success.
Recently, all I’ve been concentrating on is getting in shape. But, lately I can’t seem to focus on that. I’m sure that it has everything to do with my diet. Ya see, I’ve been eating nothing but junk ever since the beginning of last week, I’ve been craving it. I’m sure all the women know why, but just incase you don’t; it was because of that time of the month. I hate when that unwanted “friend” comes around, it feels like you can’t get anything done. I’m not sure if all women go through the things I go through when that time comes around, but one thing is for sure, it’s no fun when it comes. Just to let you know, there are so many changes that happens to my body. Just to list a few; back pain, headaches, bloating, mood swings, fatigue, cravings, heavy menstruation, and the list goes on. I swear it takes me so far from being me that I feel depleted when it’s done. I’m sure that has everything to do with what I ate during it. But how do you get rid of the cravings? That’s one thing I really have to work on. I have no will power at all when it comes to food. I’m sure that’s the reason I’ve had such an anxiety filled life.
But, I’m hoping to change all of that by changing my attitude toward food. I’m going to start looking at food as a source of energy and nothing more. I’m sure that this change isn’t going to happen over night, but I’m willing to stick it out, regardless how long the shift takes to happen. Now, I understand that the food you eat determines the type of life you will have. I never knew that, until now. Eating for energy rather than eating for taste is going to be something that I’m going to keep practicing until I get the hang of it. By then I hope to have a very happy and fulfilling life. I’m just happy that I’m still here to make this change; because I could have easily died twice over, all because of the food I was eating.
That’s why I feel so strongly about children learning early on that food is meant for energy not so much for taste. All though there are some healthy dishes that taste amazing, but that shouldn’t be the soul purpose for the types of food you eat. If the way something tastes becomes your main reason for having it, you’re loosing focus on what is really important. Learn to let your food inspire and motivate you, because that’s what it was intended for.
Anything that comes in a package isn’t the way that we were meant to exist. I understand that’s what we are use to, but that isn’t suppose to be the way of life. Getting in fruits and vegetables are the main things we are suppose to live on, not this packaged crap! If you don’t believe me, look up the benefits of eating REAL food, grown from the ground, apposed to eating things that were made in a lab. I would love to know what you find out.
