7 Ways to Destress

Have you ever felt like you want to be positive, but there are so many things that happen to you it makes you want to change your mind? I swear that’s me everyday. There are good days and then I have days when I just want to tare my hair out. But then I remember situations are only situations. They’re not meant to last forever. You go through them in order to prepare you for the next big thing you may have to face. So since I’m sure there are those of you who have gone through or are going through a difficult time at the moment. I want to leave with you some of the things I do to get myself out of a funk.

Remind yourself of your accomplishments- Sometimes you have to remind yourself of the things you have accomplished so far, because remembering where you came from will remind you of where you’re going. Besides it makes you feel better.

What are you thankful for- When you remember what you’re thankful for, everything you’re going through seems trivial. Also it keeps you humble.

Future plans- Thinking of future plans when overwhelmed with a situation, helps you remember you are not going to be in that predicament for long. It’s your silver lining.

Remain humble- Being humble is something a lot of people have a hard time being, because they believe it makes you comfortable with going with out. But it’s the opposite, it actually makes you appreciate what you have so that you are able to make room in your life for more.

Purchase a Diffuser- I never realized how mandatory a diffuser was until I got one. I find it to be a great addition to my daily routine. It’s just the right thing for me when I go to bed.

I put a little water and a natural oil of my choice, and it puts me right to sleep. The oils I find relaxing are lavender, eucalyptus, and peppermint. But you would have to find out what works for you.

The one above is the one I really wanted. But I couldn’t wait so I bought mine from another store (I shouldn’t have waited). You may not need this many oils. I just like to have variety.

Listen to sounds that calm you- What I like to do is turn on my Google Play and listen to white noise, rain sounds, or sounds of nature. If you do that plus have your diffuser going with your favorite relaxing sent, you are sure to fall a sleep in no time!

Meditate- What I’ve found with meditating is, it helps you to have a great start to your day. Many people may not have this problem, but I do. What I’m talking about is, needing time to get thoughts together and have an idea and preparedness of what you’re going to possibly deal with in the day. Meditating helps do that for you. It centers you and places a calmness over you.

I hope you found these tips helpful. If you would like more types like this please leave a comment, and I will be sure to give you other types I do for relaxation. Also if there are other things you would like to see on this blog leave a comment.
