Good Morning Beautiful people!! I hope your day is going great.
I’m sure this topic may cause a difference of opinion like most things do. Topic of discussion; “America is the Greatest Country”. Honestly I don’t know enough about it to be completely accurate, but I believe I know enough.
There are so many things that have happened throughout history in America that many Americans don’t know about. What I’ve come to learn is that people from other countries know more about America than the American born and raised do. That is a crying shame. Don’t you think the people apart of the history should know something about it? Not a fact just am observation.
I’m sure at this point you have those people who believe that it’s the American’s fault for not advocating for themselves. You’re not wrong, but you’re not completely right either. The way I see it, we are equally to blame. All Americans need to be way more involved in politics and the economy. There is way more to it then spending with your own communities.
I think the people of this country believe their words and beliefs don’t hold as much weight as they should. Or it could be the fact that many people here are over worked and under paid. Or it could be the hate that some of us are taught growing up. The fact is, there are way to many distractions. Not to mention our source of sustenance has been under attach for a while now.
The fact remains Americans need to believe in the saying; “We’re stronger together than we are apart.” If people were more united this country wouldn’t be the way it currently is. People would probably speak to each other more than they stay on their phones. Tell me I’m lying!
I swear, people have gotten so used to not talking to anyone one when they enter an establishment or passing someone on the street that they’re starting to believe you’re the weird one for speaking. It’s become normal to isolate yourself from others using the thing you’re most comfortable with taking your attention, and that’s your phone.
I was speaking to a couple of friends of mine and we were reminiscing about our childhood. I miss those days sooo, sooo, sooo much. The little things back then made such a big difference. I didn’t realize how good it was to hang out with other kids and do different things. Now that I think about it, the internet is a huge distraction, if you allow it to be. Otherwise it can be something remarkable. It all depends on how you use it.
I say that to say this; If we as a people remained how we were 30 to 40 years ago this country would not have gone so far left. We would have more control over what goes in to our bodies and how we live our lives.
