Take Your Health Into Your Own Hands.

 

 

 

I know all I’ve been talking about lately is health. I have to talk about it, because I’m still trying to get a handle on my health. The only way to do that is to research and study what’s good for my body. For as long as I can remember there has always been some kind of commercial or TV show that implied that meat and dairy was the way to go. But now that I’m older and I’m able to do my own research, I see that’s a lie. The way I see it, “The Keepers” who run this country, with the big money, are the ones who put suggestive thoughts in our heads, through television, movies, and radio. Many times what they suggest isn’t in your best interest, it’s in theirs. There are so many things that have been suggested and wired into the average American’s mind; it’s all about targeting and appealing to the average person’s senses.

From the time I was a little girl, I’ve always known that money is the driving force for a lot of choices. As we all know money equals power. So, it should make complete sense to you why we have been taught to think the way we do and to eat the way we have. The only reason some people are waking up now, is do to the information that the internet provides. I understand some people won’t believe a lot of the things they read, but some will. And that is all we need, just a few people to believe that everything that’s on TV isn’t real or is very suggestive in nature; because there’s an agenda behind it.

 What I’ve come up with is, the reason we were taught meat and dairy are great sources of calcium and protein is do to “The Keepers” need of weighing us down mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I believe this was done to make people passive, compliant, lethargic, and unmotivated to learn the truth. But things are starting to become clearer to a lot of people because the recent surge of vegans and vegetarians. Because of the massive conversion of meat eaters who have become either vegan or vegetarian, people are being informed that there is a better way to live, and that is plant based. Truth be known, that is the way we have always been meant to eat. What started the straying from the original way was famine, satiation, and taste. I think meat and dairy were something that was adapted in to the human diet, but it wasn’t something that we had on the regular, back in the days when we were still developing and learning how to care for ourselves.  I understand why those things became a part of some humans diets then.

The reason for consuming dairy and meat at that time was the ability for those things to keep you satiated for long periods of time. During those times there were those of us that didn’t reside in a lush tropical climate. Many people were stuck in colder climates and had no fruits, vegetables, nuts or seeds. They had to learn to make do with what they had, and what they had was meat, and some times dairy. These two things were only consumed because of their ability to keep a person full for a long period of time and because of the amount of nutrition they both were said to provide. We know now that the better nutrition comes from the actual source, which are fruits, veggies, nuts, and seeds. There’s really no need to consume flesh or dairy any longer, other than taste. Well, you can’t even say that anymore, because if you know how to season, you know how to make anything taste good.

 If you’re someone who believes meat and dairy are the only way to go, I invite you to try something you would never try on your own; and that’s going plant based for a month. During this time I would love it if you kept a journal of the way you feel, what you ate and other purifying things that come with this life style. It should be noted that the only way to make sure you keep high energy, is to eat whole foods and try your best to stay away from processed goods. Also, the more vegetables you eat, the better you’ll feel. But remember to get enough of  fruits, vegetables, seeds, and nuts. Make sure to eat enough. That’s the great thing about this life style, you can eat until you’re satisfied.

My Journey To Get Fit

Day 10

Going to the gym has started to become something I love. I’ve always liked working out and seeing the result of the effort I put into my body. But there’s something different that happens when you have a work out partner. As I stated before my mother is my work out partner, truth be told we both needed this. I’m just happy that we’re doing it. The way that I feel when I finish working out is exhilarating!

blowThere’s no other feeling like it. But there are some that come close, one for example is eliminating processed foods and meats out of your diet. I can’t say that I’ve done it yet, but that is the next thing I’m going to work own, because I want to be a vegan by the time I hit 40. I have about 4 more years before that happens, so I gotta get crackin. Although I’m not a vegan now, I have been before. To be completely honest it was the best I’ve ever felt. I had abundant amounts of energy, my eye sight was clear than it’s ever been, I felt happy and optimistic all the time. It was a feeling I didn’t want to come down from, but had too. Reason being, my body wasn’t having it. I had gone 2 solid months eating only the things I prepared. Thinking that I was doing something good, I soon realized that my body couldn’t keep up because of how rapidly I changed my diet. Two months in and I’m feeling the best I’ve ever felt, then one night I start to have pains in my upper right abdomen. I had no idea what was going on. Naturally I thought  the pain would pass, but it didn’t. It increased. Even though I felt pain, I did nothing about it. I went to work as usually and the next night I told my mom that I would go to the hospital the next day if it didn’t pass. Then that next day, the pain had not left so my mom took me to the hospital. I got X-Rays done and it came back that I had a gallstone lagged in my small intestine, that would not pass. I had been dealing with that pain for three days before I decided to something about it.

Long story short, I’m okay, as you can see, I didn’t die. I thank God I didn’t. But, that is something you constantly here every time your doing something that isn’t wide received, like giving up animal products and going vegan for your health, the health of the world and animals. When that happened to me, people in my family believe it happened because I stopped eating meat. I think it happened because my body was so use to me giving it trash to digest, that when it was forced to reprogram itself and get use to digesting that are good for me, it freaked out, and as a result of that my gallbladder was removed. Did it have to be removed? I don’t believe so, because the gallstone had already passed by the time I was scheduled to have surgery. Once I became a patient, the doctors made me believe that getting rid of it was the only way I could guarantee something like this wouldn’t happen again. They didn’t tell me my diet was the cause of my poor health.underconstruction

So naturally when I got out of the hospital I was hungry, because from that Saturday til Tuesday I hadn’t eaten anything for fear of the gallstone not passing and them possibly having to do emergency surgery because my intestine burst. My diet was nothing but liquids, that was no fun. So, once I got out I started eating meat again because it was the easiest thing to get too, after all 99% of all fast food and dine in restaurants glorify their meat dishes before they would ever glorify a veggie dish. I don’t know why. But, I’m guessing it’s because meat lasts a whole lot longer than any fruit or vegetable, and that’s the American way, right?

Even though I fell of the vegan wagon, I plan to get back on it real soon. After all, I am way to sensitive to eat a once living being. Also, the health effects of going vegan or tremendous!! Its the gift that keeps on giving.

There are things that happen everyday all day. But, people don’t believe that their government would do some of those things to them. Well, I have news for you honey; this government only cares about themselves and the money they make off of you (the tax payers). Everyday we’re shown things that the government is trying to hide. Chemicals in the food is a prime example. I’m sure a lot of us don’t think about the things  we put on our skin or in our body daily, but we need too. That’s the reason so many of us are getting these diseases. doritos-graphic-vivien-veil

There are so many women I’ve seen that have some type of cancer, whether it be ovarian, breast, bone, brain, or some other type of cancer or disease, or men having prostate cancer. Have you ever thought of the reason so many of us are getting sick? I have a theory, I don’t know if I’m right, but there is some truth to why this could be the answer. I think that the food and chemicals we are exposed to daily are the very things that are making us sick. Have you ever thought of why so many people back in the early days lived their lives’ to the fullest, many times without getting sick?

The reason so many people were able to live healthier lives back then was do to them eating actual food, they grew from their own farms. They didn’t go to a super market and buy things they needed. They either traded or grew what they needed. Back then things weren’t about who could make the most money, it was about who could live a full life. So many of us have lost sight of that. We are so driven by the dollar these days, that we will hurt the next person without a second thought. And it’s sad that so many people are dying because of the things that are in our hair products, cleaning products, perfumes, and a list of other chemically made up items. But, that’s the way of the world, right? I don’t know. But if it is, something needs to change. What ever happened to looking out for your fellow man or woman? It’s beyond time to make a change. shampoo-label400

But if you still have some doubt that your food and house hold items are the culprit, I invite you to do some research on 5 items that you use everyday. Turn it over and look at the ingredient list. Write down all of the things on the back that you either don’t know the meaning of or can’t pronounce. Then look up their affects on the body and what their made from. Some of these things will have you so grossed out you won’t want to eat anything that wasn’t naturally grown.

95% sick by food.jpgA lot of us don’t know it, but there are so many things that we eat that are not even digestible.  That’s a large reason why so many of us have digestive issues (fake food). There’s no way that I can say that I’m not guilty of eating these types of foods. But, soon I hope to say that they are no part of my diet. I’ve gone back and forth with being vegetarian than pescatarian than vegan. Right now I’m really hoping to go back to being vegan. Truth be told, that is the best I’ve ever felt. I had loads of energy that just wouldn’t stop. Also, I had a clear mind, positive attitude, and all of my insecurities seemed to disappear.

I’m sure that this life style won’t be for everyone. I know that it isn’t for my mother because she has always said that she’s going to be a meat connoisseur until the day she dies. But the good thing is, I’ve been able to open her mind to not having it so often. Two weeks in January of this year, I got her to go without red meat, pork, and chicken. The only thing she was aloud to eat was seafood, and it was killing her because she wanted chicken and a burger so bad. I really believe the only reason she wanted it was because she couldn’t have it.

Believe it or not, that was a very big step for her, and I am so proud of her for doing that. We both are getting healthier one day at a time. We’ve decided to start taking our health into our own hands. I know that it’s going to take some time to get her to the point of being as open minded as I am. Also, that she has to do things in her own time. I’m not going to rush her because it’s her decision.

I hope that you take something from this post that will help you to live a healthier, happier life. All it takes to start is one small change. I know that it’ll be hard at first, but stick with it and it will become easier the longer you do.
