Today I wanted to speak about Sun and what affects I’ve noticed it has on me and many women like me.
Many of us don’t give it a second thought. We know that it’s a big ball of heat and light. But we haven’t come to realize how important it is when it comes to fertility and regular menstruation.
I’ve been looking all over the internet trying to find articles on how the sun influences how long your menstrual stays or if it comes at all.
I was surprised to see there weren’t that many articles on the subject. So for this blog I want to let you know vitamin D plays a huge part in your reproduction. You need vitamin D in producing healthy blood.
What tends to happen when you don’t have healthy blood is you loose it. This can either happen because of anemia or a menstrual that will not end. I know this because I’ve experienced both.
I’ve known for a long time food should be your medicine. But I never applied my knowledge to myself and health.
Since life has been nothing but monotonous for me, I figure I will finally put what I know to good use.
I’m not guaranteeing weight lose or anything. But I will post pictures of myself before I started taking my health seriously and my progress going through this transformation.
Please pray for me and hold me accountable. Because this is something I always wanted to do but never did because I allowed the way others feel towards me to dictate the way I felt about myself.

I’m sure at the time I’m writing this it’s probably bed time for most of you. But I had to get a post down for the day. Just incase you’re not aware, many times I only write if I have something to write about. As some may know a lot of my posts have something to do with what I’m experiencing at the time. So this will be no different.
This is something hard for me to talk about, because I feel that it’s letting you know a little bit too much about me. But I figure I’ll go ahead and get it off my chest. Let me start of by saying,” I’ve always been a big girl. At one point in time I use to be into health. But for the most part that has changed in the past couple of years. I guess you could say, “I allowed my emotions to get the better of me. So naturally like most people I allowed the way I felt to lead me.
This was not a good thing, for obvious reasons. Me allowing my emotions to dictate the way I feel or felt doesn’t keep me in a mind frame of being accountable for everything I do and consume. As a result I allowed myself to go crazy with the eating and the cold foods and drinks.
If I’m honest my diet consists of about 85% to 90% processed food….. Wow!! I never really thought about how much processed food I eat. That’s mind blowing. I’m just coming to the realization now that I eat way too much junk.
Well I’m sure you’re trying to figure out why I’m mentioning this. It’s simple really. I’m bringing this to light because a lot of women these days are experiencing infertilely. Many of them don’t realize it’s the food they eat that play a huge part in why they’re not able to conceive.
I remember reading a study years back, about the fertility difference in women who eat natural food appose to women who eat a diet high in processed foods. Naturally the women who ate natural foods most of the time were the ones with a higher fertility rate. As for the women eating the processed food, they’re fertility was cut in half . What’s sad is, it wasn’t a 100% to begin with.

This isn’t the same study from so many years back, but it is something you can read to get a better understanding.
Well at the current time I’ve been feeling all over the place. Having to deal with imbalances, menstrual problems, mood swings and the list goes on. I can not fully explain what I’ve experienced waiting for my period to come every month. This puts the stress level at even a higher high because my mother wants grand babies, and I’m at an age were that could easily not be possible at anytime. As for me, I’m not sure if I want any children. I feel like that ship has sailed. Also mentally and financially I’m in no place to have children at the current time.
The only thing I’m going to say is, “if God sees it fit to provide me with a child, I will love and do every and anything I can for that child. The other thing is I don’t know how it’s gonna happen, because I have taken the longest time from dating in my whole adult life.
I thought it was time I take some time for myself, because my whole life I’ve been living for someone else. I’m so tired of that. So I finally said, “Enough is enough! It’s time for me to learn how to love me without me needing the affection of someone else.

I have to say; “I love the excitement opening an online store is giving me!” You never know when you’re going to get a sell, but it’s a lovely surprise when it happens. Yesterday I did my firsthundred dollar sale! I’ve sold that much before, but this was the first time I sold that much at once in my shop. I packed that order so fast!
Then I had a friend of mine tell me how much my products have helped her with her skin condition. I initially started making soap because I wanted to increase the health and look of my skin; had no idea that it was going to be some peoples medicine! I looove it though! Love knowing I’m creating something that not only feels good but also helps with skin irritations.
I feel so blessed that my products serve a bigger purpose than just smelling good. I can remember being in my early teens, asking those around me about my skin and how it looked or felt. I’ve always taken pride in that, because I know that your skin is one of the biggest factors of your attractiveness. Without healthy skin you don’t appear as attractive and healthy to others as you could with healthy glowing skin. When your skin is poppin’ so is your confidence and health. Many times you can tell how healthy someone is just by looking at their skin.
Also many of these skin conditions can be rectified through topical applications and herbs. Too many times we eat, put things on our skin and participate in things that may not be the best for our health. Known fact: most of us had very busy lives before this epidemic. So I’m sure you were putting things in your mouth and on your skin that weren’t good for you. Many times because you’re so in a rush, you really don’t see any importance of caring or you believe the developers of these things are looking out for your best interest.
I started out believing these companies cared about the people they were selling their products too. The sad truth is; many companies only care about the $. Like the say, “Cash is King.” I have a different take on that. I believe if you care about your customers and provide them with something that is a healthier option that won’t promote the very diseases we’re trying to fight off, they’ll be more inclined to shop with you.
Many of us know that our skin is the largest organ on our body, but we still continue to bathe with these detergent based soaps and body washes. For women, I’m sure it’s because it smells good, and for men it’s pretty much the same. Well today I’ve just been real focused on everything that I am trying to get off of the ground. I mean really, when am I not focused on that? Come to think about it, I have been working on creating different things for a couple of years now. I’m sure something is going to take off, I’m just not sure what. At the current time I’m working on my soap company, trying to build it up from the ground up. I know this is going to take a lot of blood sweat and tears. I’m ready for it.
I never knew I would enjoy making soap so much, but I really do. And the great thing about my soaps are…. they’re made with natural ingredients and love. Most of them are made with essential oils, such as peppermint, eucalyptus, tea tree, patchouli, calendula, chamomile and many others. I also have some that are made from fragrance oil.
I first began making soap because I thought it would be a fun hobby; as I’m sure most other people have. But then, I started giving it to friends and family and they began telling me how much they enjoyed the soap and how good it made their skin feel.
Then I started to believe I could make a business out of it. Mainly because all the ingredients I use are beneficial for your skin and over all health. The first thing a lot of people think of when I say ‘Healthy is a lifestyle’ is their food intake. Although that is one aspect of healthy living it isn’t the only one. Healthy living consists of having great influential people in your life, positive thinking, being excited to live another day because you operate from a place of gratefulness and humility. Also making sure to take time for yourself is a must. Many times we have forgotten to take time for ourselves because we become so concerned with making sure the next person is okay. But how can you take care of someone else if you’re not?
Recently I’ve been thinking, ‘I would love to be a child again’. Reason being, this adulting thing is not what I thought it was going to be. I thought when you became an adult things get easier; but they actually get harder. Just think about it; when you were a child you woke up didn’t have a real worry because most times it was your parents doing all the worrying. It was their responsibility to take care of you. So many times your day would be pretty easy. I know everyone did not have an easy up bringing. For the ones who did, you know exactly what I’m taking about.
Now you’re an adult and it’s like you’re stumbling and you can’t gain your footing to save your life. Most days are met with anguish and frustration because you have no choice but to do things you’re uncomfortable with to make life a little more bearable. Just incase you’re not following, here’s an example.
Paula is a friend, lover, and mentor. Even with being all these things she still hasn’t managed to find happiness. Sure she feels moments of happiness, but she hasn’t managed to recreate that feeling of happiness for herself. Many times she finds herself going through bouts of depression and anxiety.
She later on realized her depression is caused by her financial situation. You see, Paula was very hard working. Truth be told this woman gave her all to her job, no matter what type of job it was. She stayed late, went above and beyond in every way, for others. Did not do the same when it came to herself though. It seemed she always got the short end of the stick, because people would love the work she did but it never reflected in her finances.
So one day Paula finally came to the realization she no longer wanted to work for others. She figured if she was going to be slaving for anyone it was going to be for herself. So she decided to start a pet grooming business. Besides, she always loved animals and knew she wouldn’t mind having them around her, because they brought love and peace.
Months went by, and finally that dark feeling of depression stopped looming over her. Finally she knew what it felt like to be internally happy.
For some of us this may not be the case. You may be extremely happy with your financial situation. But my question is, “Are you happy with every area of your life?” If the answer is ‘No’ you got some work to do.
Nothing is impossible. Every vision was given to you for a reason. What you do with it though is up to you.

I lost the 3 to 4 lbs. I gained last week, Thank God!!! That’s one less thing I have to worry about. But the gaining of the weight really seems to happen to women more commonly; probably because we are the ones that are suppose to carry the children. So our bodies seem to always be ready and willing to carry some extra unwanted weight.
Week 2 and I’m happy I decided to document this weight loss. By keeping track of it, it helps me to stay on track. I know it’s not going to be easy to continue to lose, but I’m going to keep on trying. Like I stated in one of my last posts It Begins!!! I know we all go through times in our lives when we have wanted to lose or gain weight and we also have times when wanting to make that happen becomes more than a thought and you realize you’re finally ready to do something about it. That time is now for me.
Getting older and realizing how the body changes for the worst when not properly cared for, makes you come to know that something has to be done if you want to have better days than you previously had, I definitely do. So this is something that has become mandatory, not just for me but for the ones I love. I’m hoping one day I can take what I’m learning about health and help others in my family and some of those that are close to me with they’re eating and activity habits.
I know better than most what happens that makes you lethargic and immobile. When you’re a child that wasn’t so much the case because you use to be able to go and play with friends for hours until the street lights came on. Now days, children don’t know anything about going outside and making up games and playing with friends, because they have or are use to playing their electronical games. The activity levels are even higher when you have siblings, because you always have someone to aggravate or get aggravated by (lol) . The point is, when we grow up all that activity stops because life starts to happen; this can be in the form of children, financial hardship, stress, you name it, it happens. That’s why I think if we focused a little less on worldly things and more on ourselves and the people around us, life would be a lot more fulfilling. You would feel there is more of a purpose to life than working to pay bills and killing yourself to make as much money as you can, while you can.
I’m just now, starting to really understand how much importance this world has placed on money and appearances. The funny thing is, the media uses the people that are out of shape and may not look the best, to make those who do look the way we dream of looking; to make us feel like we could always be better. If you want to be better, there’s nothing wrong with that; just make sure it was your decision and not something you decided to do because of the media. Love you, regardless of what others think or feel about you. FYI, most times they don’t know you, and the other half of the time, if they do, their thoughts of you are never as bad as you think they are. But if they are, chances are that person is a hater and you have something going for you that they wish they had.
Today is the day for a lot of people to be off from their jobs, but this is the time for me to start working, seeing as I work mainly weekends and not weekdays, that’s one thing that really sucks about working retail.
I was thinking about bringing something else to this blog. I won’t be writing about it all the time, but I wanted to write about my time working as cashier for a really large retail chain. I know a lot of my other posts mention situations I’ve been in while working their. But I would like to get a little more in depth.
I’m choosing to put this type of content out their because I know their are other people out here who have gone or are going through the same things I’ve experienced or still experience working with the public. I understand this won’t resonate with some, but there will be other things on this blog that you have the possibility of finding interest in. For example: I just wrote a blog on my dedication to doing the OMAD diet, or my post about love and relationships, or the different things that happen to certain people because the way they look. Those are only a few of the things I offer on this blog. One other thing this blog has, are stories. The stories that I have on here Are Desire, Learned Lessons, and Life. These stories are works in progress. If you would like to read them in their entirety please leave a comment and I will add the latest addition I have to these stories.
I plan to bring a lot more to this blog. This just like me, is a work in progress. I hope you enjoy every word, post, and story I put out for you to consume because that is my main concern; is that you will love it!!
I am a little nervous about this, but I’m going to stick by my word and do the OMAD diet. Hoping to have some good things to report back. But, right now I’m just going off of different good reports about this diet. I’m not planning to do this for the rest of my life, just right now.
No fried food
Drinking plenty of water
working out once per day (5 days a week)
7 to 8 hours of sleep every night.
Meals will be of a sizable portion.
greens at least three times a week

You will have the chance to see what I’m eating and what I’m doing on days that I have the freedom to roam and do exactly what I want with out the worry of eating something every hour or couple of hours. This was me last year and the bottom picture is from March 22, 2014 not happy, but pretending so hard to be. Wanting to find love in myself for myself. From as far back as I can remember I’ve always been a heavier girl. Something I’m not and never have been happy about. I’ve tried to learn to except it. But. I know now that is just not going to be my way. It’s not like I don’t like to go out and do things with other people; my problem is fear of being judged by others because of what I look like and how I may react to different things I may do while I’m out. I don’t know when this fear of being myself started, but I’m going to do everything in my power to get rid of it. One thing I’m not going to do is blame others for the way I feel about me. Instead I’m going to concentrate on the way things make me feel.

As you can see I was never a skinny child nor adult, (Side note: I weighed 183 pounds in 3rd grade). Always wanted to be within the healthy guidelines of body fat%, but that never happened for me until now. I’m hoping this change will spark me to want to do something I’ve always wanted to do but never had the balls to, because I thought it would be to hard. Well, I say bring it on!!!
That thing I’ve always wanted to do is be in the fitness business, looking as good as women like Rahki Giovanni, Nayfit, ChickenTuna, and Ivy78. These women inspired me so much when it comes to the fitness industry, and I hope I do them justice with my plan to get healthy and improve my life.
